Client calls to report that their tenant lost all power overnight. Overnight temps are well below freezing and they need an immediate fix or they risk pipes freezing and the tenant being displaced from their home.
8:15AM
Matlack Electric arrives on site. The main service entrance conductors were found burned apart due to severe degradation and the determination is made that the building will need a complete service replacement.
6:30PM
Power is restored – it’s been less than 11 hours from the initial call. We still need to fix some other issues and pass an inspection, but the tenant can sleep in their own bed and the landlord is saved from expensive damage.
